Mara Plains Camp is a small and private luxury tented camp in the Olare Motogori Conservancy, on the northern border of the Masai Mara National Reserve. It is an area rich in wildlife, and is particularly good for predators. Accommodating a maximum of 14 guests, the camp offers a private experience and personalised service. It also prides itself on the little touches that make your safari so much more enjoyable, like cameras and binoculars in each room for you to use while out game viewing.
Game drives are conducted in Olare Motogori and will deliver great wildlife sightings: there are only four guests per vehicle and rarely will you come across any other vehicles in this private concession. Your personal guide can also take you into the Masai Mara National Reserve, famed for its sensational wildlife and the wildebeest migration. Other activities include night game drives, hot-air balloon safaris (weather permitting) and visits to traditional Maasai villages.
A wonderfully intimate but super luxurious camp set in an area of the Masai Mara with the lowest density of safari vehicles – one for the connoisseur.
Each of the five suites has deep canvas canopied ceilings, rough hewn wood floors and accents of East Africa’s rich safari history. The well-appointed en-suite facilities (including a deep copper bath) plus the extensive private verandah complete what is genuinely a stunning concept.
Children aged 6 and up are welcome at Mara Plains Camp and can join the camp's Young Explorer's Programme.
