Tucked away in the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains, this luxury five-star lodge is for those looking for somewhere remote and romantic.
Rightly renowned for its food – a different seven course menu is on offer each night, accompanied by a wide choice of South African wines, this 11-roomed hideaway is gourmet heaven, with even breakfast running to three courses! Guests will find a mountain hike or bike ride essential after such a feast, or time can simply be spent in the craft shops and cafes of the nearby Midland Meander.
Food, glorious food, is THE attraction at Cleopatra’s; a nightly seven course dinner is followed by a three course breakfast, all wonderfully rich. A major highlight of any trip to KwaZulu Natal, but do not stay for more than two nights.
The Farmhouse is known for its food. You can expect a seven course dinner, followed by a three course breakfast. Great pride is taken with each serving, and when foods are sourced from Norway (fresh Salmon) and cured hams form Italy you know you’ll be in for a tasty treat. We promise you won’t want to pass up a meal and will savour each mouthful.
With a romantic theme running through out the property, each room is lovingly decorated and showcases individuality. It houses a cottage look and feel making it warm and inviting. All rooms come with an en-suite and a bed that you will struggle to get out of.
Although children are welcome, Cleopatra is considered much more an adult setting.
