Poised majestically on the crest of a mountain, Phinda Mountain Lodge commands dramatic vistas over the surrounding landscape. Balanced between soaring views of the scenery below and the endless blue of the African sky above, each of the 25 stunning, split-level suites have their own plunge pools that open onto a breathtaking panorama.
With glamorous guest areas and spellbinding views, this bold and stylish lodge will truly make you feel on top of the world. Magnificent guest viewing decks and private verandas attached to each suite ensure that there’s no shortage of spectacular locations to drink in the natural luxury of the sensational setting.
Guests are greeted with bright smiles and warm welcomes from the lodge’s gracious staff. A warm and friendly welcome awaits families with children at Phinda Mountain Lodge, with two family suites providing interleading rooms with an optional additional bed in each.
The best location of any of the Phinda properties – perched as it is on the top of a hill. Keen bird-watchers are advised to book the private services of Darryn, one of South Africa’s top birding guides.
Phinda Mountain Lodge has plenty of dining options which maximises the views of the surrounding area perfectly. Rest your feet in the courtyard and dine al fresco, or for something a little more dramatic take a seat at a table in the stunning Boma. Share stories with your fellow guests and show off your best Big 5 snaps.
There are 25 beautiful lodges that overlook the Ubombo Mountains. They all host en-suite bathrooms comprising of both bath and shower, separate WC. and his and hers basins. All suites have a sitting area, personal bar and private veranda complete with plunge pool and romantic al fresco shower.
&Beyond Phinda Mountain Lodge is very well equipped for families, it has an exclusive family suite accommodating an additional 4 children under the age of 16. This also allows for exclusive use of a safari vehicle, drives can therefore be tailored for the shorter attention span of younger children.
The lodge is also able to accommodate a small number of triple rooms should the family suite not be available. When not staying in the family suite, game drives are available to children aged 12 and over. Children aged 6-12 can participate in game drives at the manager's discretion. Childminders can be organised at an additional cost.
The lodge also features the WILDChild programme, which involves fun interactive activities to enjoy and learn from. Each child will receive a WILDChild bag filled with goodies and a personalised note, with those under the age of 3 receiving a soft toy too.
