Opened in July 2018, Zuri Zanzibar is a stylish resort set on Kendwa beach, arguably Zanzibar's best stretch of sand where you can swim all day without the tidal extremes that are found on most of the island. A member of Design Hotels, the resort combines contemporary style with Zanzibari influences and features beautiful tropical gardens and a tranquil green oasis, the Spice Garden, for yoga and meditation.
The rooms are all individual, stand alone units with their own private terraces as well as outdoor showers. The suites enjoy extended living spaces and Jacuzzis while the spacious villas boast ocean front locations and sea views.
Dining at Zuri is a true culinary experience with the fusion of African, Arabic, Indian and European cuisine reflecting the diversity of influences that have shaped Zanzibar. The varied food offering can be enjoyed in the three restaurants from the international cuisine and laid back atomsphere of the main restaurant, Upendo, and the chic Maisha pool restaurant to the light meals and cocktails of the beach restaurant. Guests staying in the suites and villas also have access to the private Dhow bar.
Zuri Zanzibar is a stylish and sophisticated resort that has an enviable position on Kendwa beach. Here, you do not get the tidal extremes of other areas of the island and Zuri faces west for picture-perfect sunsets.
All the accommodation at Zuri is in individual bungalows, suites and villas which are spread out around the tropical gardens and share an elegant Zanzibar-influenced design and environmentally friendly features.
The bungalows offer partial sea view or garden views and all have a private terrace. Upgrade to a suite for twice the space including a living area and Jacuzzi. The two and three bedroom villas enjoy beach front locations and access to a private beach.
All ages are welcome at Zuri Zanzibar. The two and three bedroom villas are perfect for families.
