Overnight flight from London Heathrow to Johannesburg on British Airways.
Morning arrival and connecting flight to Victoria Falls. You will be met at Victoria Falls airport and transferred by road to Hwange National Park (approx... 2 hours), where you spend the next two nights on a full board basis at Ivory Lodge. Situated on a private concession just outside Hwange National Park, Ivory Lodge overlooks an active waterhole that attracts a lot of animals. The tree house style rooms are raised up on wooden platforms and have a simple, rustic and natural feel with thatched roofs and wooden furniture as well as a verandah on which to sit and watch the passing game. The main lodge area features a thatched dining area, bar, swimming pool and library and a firepit around which guests can enjoy a drink in the evening and swap safari stories. Guided game drives in search of the Hwange's wildlife including large herds of elephant and buffalo are taken both on their own land and in the National Park.
Today you return to Victoria Falls where you spend the next three nights at Ilala Lodge. Location is everything at Ilala Lodge. It is the closest hotel to the Victoria Falls which are just a 10 minute walk away and the shops and restaurants in Victoria Falls town are on your doorstep. The lobby and main guest areas have a colonial flavour with antiques and pictures of explorers while the rooms have a more modern style. No stay at Ilala is complete without a meal at The Palm Restaurant watching the spray from the falls. There are no scheduled tours or activities during your stay at Ilala – your time is your own
Transfer by road across the Zimbabwe/Botswana border and into Chobe National Park. You spend the next three nights at Chobe Safari Lodge. Chobe's location in Kasane means it is a fantastic base for enjoying a huge range of activities including game drives, river cruises, fishing and scenic flights. The lodge is quite large, meaning there is always a friendly, buzzing atmosphere throughout the day, especially when guests have returned from their activities. Scheduled activities during your stay at the lodge include 1x game drive, 1x boat cruise, 1x private boat cruise, and a choice of two local Chobe activities.
This morning you will be transferred by road to Kasane airport for your flight to London Heathrow via Johannesburg.
