Combine Zambia and Botswana in this exceptional itinerary, staying at some of the top properties in the Sanctuary portfolio. From the spectacular Victoria Falls through to lush wetlands of the Okavango Delta, this will be a safari like no other.
Accommodation includes: Sanctuary Sussi and Chuma Lodge, Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero and Sanctuary Stanley's Camp
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Johannesburg.
This morning you will land into Johannesburg and connect with your flight to Livingstone. There you will be collected and transferred up river to Sanctuary Sussi and Chuma Lodge (about half an hour) where you will be spending the next three nights.
The lodge is a superb base for enjoying a range of activities on the Zambezi River as well as visits to the mighty Victoria Falls. You will be able to enjoy river cruises on the Zambezi, visits to the nearby Nakatindi Village, trips down to The Falls, game drives in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and walking safaris. The lodge will also be able to arrange scenic flights over The Falls, canoeing trips and white water rafting (in season) amongst others at an additional cost.
After your morning activity from the lodge you'll enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking the mighty Zambezi. You will then be collected and transferred by road (and a short boat across the Zambezi) to Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero. The transfer takes around 90 minutes including completing border formalities at the Kazungula border post.
Your 3 nights at Chobe Chilwero will allow you to enjoy the fantastic game viewing for which this park is renowned, particularly it's large herds of elephant and buffalo. In addition to the morning and afternoon game drives, the lodge has it's own small flat-bottomed boat to allow you to cruise the river and get a totally different perspective on your game viewing. The Chobe boat cruise is one of the most memorable and special activities in this region allowing you to view wildlife and a wide variety of bird-life.
Enjoy your last morning game drive from Chobe Chilwero before breakfast in the lodge, following which you'll be transferred to Kasane Airport (about 20 minutes) for your flight down to Sanctuary Stanley's Camp in the Okavango Delta. The small-craft flight is a superb way to see the Delta from above and get a birdseye view of the marshlands, tributaries and islands that make up this watery wonderland.
From the airstrip, you will be transferred to this classic tented camp where you will be spending the next 3 nights. Stanley's offers the quintessential Okavango Delta experience, with superb game viewing in a private concession meaning you have the whole area to explore without seeing other vehicles. Game drives and walks are offered from the camp and, if water levels permit you will also be able to enjoy mokoro canoe trips through the waterways of the Delta.
This morning you will be able to enjoy a morning activity and breakfast in the lodge before some time to relax. You will then be transferred to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Maun where you will connect with your flight to Johannesburg. After a short layover you will then catch your overnight flight to London Heathrow.
