This itinerary will take you all over the beautiful country of Zambia in some style. Starting in the South Luangwa National Park, which is renowned for its walking safaris you will then move on to the Lower Zambezi National Park, where water activities are the order of the day, before finishing your holiday off spectacularly at one of the original natural wonders of the world, the Victoria Falls.
Accommodation includes: Chinzombo, Chongwe River Camp and Tongabezi
Overnight from London to Lusaka, via Johannesburg, with BA and South African Airways.
On arrival into Lusaka you will need to make your way to the Pro Flight desk and check-in for your flight up to Mfuwe. On arrival into Mfuwe you will be met by staff from Chinzombo who will transfer you to their lodge (about an hour with the chance for some game viewing along the way) for a 3 night stay. This is a truly stunning lodge, and a superb base from which to explore the renowned South Luangwa National Park. The lodge is set on the banks of the Luangwa River, so guests arrive at the lodge by boat and enjoy stunning river views from all parts of the property. The enormous bush villas retain a wild, colonial feel, with huge decking areas complete with private pool and sitting area. The game viewing here is fantastic, with Leopard sightings being particularly good. It is also one of the best places in Africa to enjoy walking safaris.
This morning you will be transferred back to Mfuwe airport for your flight to the Lower Zambezi National Park where you will stay for 3 nights at Chongwe River Camp. The wonderfully relaxed feel of this safari lodge helps to make Chongwe one of the leading safari experiences in Zambia. The range of activities mean that you can have plenty of variety during your stay, including the chance to enjoy their renowned fishing trips on the Zambezi. After a long day exploring the park you will be welcomed back to the camp by a roaring fire and drink, before heading to the dining area to enjoy the sumptuous cuisine.
After enjoying a morning game drive transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Livingstone where you will be met and transferred to spend your final 3 nights at Tongabezi.
A romantic hideaway on the banks of the Zambezi River just upstream of the Victoria Falls, Tongabezi is a unique property. No two rooms or houses are the same. Your time here will be at leisure to relax and enjoy the fantastic range of activities on offer, including walking tours of the Falls, canoeing trips, boat cruises, guided walks and game drives.
After a morning at leisure you will be transferred from the lodge to Livingstone Airport for your flight to Johannesburg where you will have a short layover before your overnight flight back to London Heathrow.
Early morning arrival into London Heathrow.
