This itinerary gives you the best of safari and beach experiences, taking in exciting game drives to view the big five in South Africa’s Thornybush Game Reserve before moving on to relax on the white sandy beaches of the Seychelles. With it being essentially only a two-centre itinerary, the travel time is not exhaustive, each step of the way carefully planned to maximise on your enjoyment and relaxation. It’s not always about ticking all the must-do boxes, sometimes it’s about the enjoyment of place and simply getting away from it all.

Depart London Heathrow on your scheduled overnight flight to Johannesburg.
On arrival in Johannesburg airport you connect with your flight to Hoedspruit, where you will be met and transferred to Jackalberry Lodge to spend the next three nights. Enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives in this impressive reserve, with an abundance of wildlife – including all the Big Five, and an incredibly diverse ecosystem, each day will bring something new. There is just a maximum of 16 guests accommodated in seven suites, all equipped with an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning and a private patio. When not traversing the reserve in search of wildlife, downtime can be spent enjoying the lodge’s swimming pool, library, delicious cuisine and curio shop.
After a morning game drive and breakfast you transfer back to Hoedspruit for the afternoon flight to Johannesburg. Make your way to the InterContinental Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport where you will overnight. The remainder of the day will be at leisure for you to relax. The InterContinental OR Tambo Hotel is a luxurious hotel and a great place for a short stop over. Relax in the pool area or book yourself in for a spa treatment or if you prefer to, you can venture out into Johannesburg and visit the city and its museums, art galleries and shops. The Quills Bar and Restaurant offers fantastic dining in a relaxed atmosphere.
After a leisurely breakfast, make your way back into the terminal building for your scheduled flight to Mahe Island. Connect with the short onward flight to Praslin Island where on arrival you will be met and transferred to the Constance Lemuria Resort where you spend the next seven nights. Your time here will be at leisure to relax and enjoy this luxury 5 star deluxe eco-friendly resort.
Located on the north-west of the island, the resort has three beaches and in the 101 hectares of landscaped grounds it offers accommodation in a range of suites, as well as in a selection of one and two-bedroom villas, all with their own pools.
The best property on Praslin, on offer are 3 world-class restaurants, 4 bars, a children’s club, gym, Shiseido spa, steam and sauna, plus it is also home to its own turtle conservation programme and the island’s best, and indeed, only championship golf course – free to anyone staying here.
After a relaxing day transfer to the airport for the short flight to Mahe Island to connect with your evening flight to Doha, and onward scheduled overnight flight to the UK.
