Forming part of the Greater Kruger Park, Klaserie is a large private reserve with a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, leopards and hyenas that can be seen on the morning and afternoon game drives. With relatively few lodges and vehicles in the area the game viewing here is exclusive and unhurried. Kitara enjoys a prime position on the Klaserie River with opportunities for viewing game from the lodge's decks and even while relaxing in the infinity edge swimming pool.
Cosy lounges, al fresco dinners around the firepit in the boma and a maximum of just 12 guests engender an intimate atmosphere. The six elegantly furnished suites have been tastefully designed in neutral tones and whether located on the river or in the well-tended garden each has a private patio overlooking the river on which to relax and revel in the peace and tranquility of the bush.
The perfect safari complement to The Last Word's superb hotels in the Cape. Expect a warm welcome and elegant suites in the tranquil surroundings of the Klaserie Reserve.
Kitara keeps it small and exclusive with just six suites, each of which is an elegant space with a colour palette of natural green and grey tones inspired by the lodge's natural surroundings. The ensuite bathrooms feature Victorian baths and both indoor and outdoor showers and guests can view the birdlife and passing animals from the private patio.
Children aged 12 and up are welcome.
