In a remote corner of Zimbabwe near the Gonarezhou National Park, Malalingwe Wildlife Reserve was established over 20 years ago to protect the wildlife and ecology of this extraordinary wilderness area and to benefit the neighbouring communities.
Singita Pamushana Lodge is perched on a hill top with wonderful bush and lake views. With just eight suites and a private villa the lodge offers an exclusive, remote and varied safari experience. Some of the wildlife you may encounter here includes rhino, sable, cheetah and lion, not to mention an abundance of birdlife. There are also opportunities to walk among the baobab studded bush to explore rock art sites, fish and take sundowner boat trips on the dam below the lodge and also visit local communities to view firsthand the development and outreach programmes the trust operates. Back at the lodge guests can relax at the two swimming pools, the tennis court or with a pampering spa treatment.
A wonderfully remote reserve with a strong conservation and community ethos where you can relax and get away from it all. The luxurious surroundings offer every comfort and safari activities are interactive and rewarding.
Whether eating in the main dining area or a candlelit dinner amongst towering baobab trees, the cuisine at Pamushana is of the highest quality.
The lodge has eight suites with either one, two or three bedrooms and each with a private plunge pool. The comfortable stone and thatch suites feature colourful fabrics and designs inspired by the local area. There is also a five bedroom villa retreat with living and dining areas and an infinity pool. The villa is perfect for extended families or a group of friends looking for privacy.
Children of all ages are welcome with two and three bedroom suites as well as a five bedroom villa. There is a children's program available to keep the kids entertained. Activities include baking with the chef, bush walks around the camp, fishing, swimming and community visits.
