Few camps manage to combine the traditional and the modern and retain a feeling of really being in the bush, but Selinda manages to do this perfectly. The spacious, elegant tented suites have thatched roofs and provide stunning views out into the reserve. Writing desks in the corner evoke feelings of safari pioneers writing their journals after a long day exploring the bush and compliment the feel of the camp really well. The game viewing in this private corner of the Delta is truly outstanding, with large herds of elephant, high densities of lion and even the endangered wild dog often seen in the area. Whether you are exploring the area by vehicle, on foot or motorboat, your guides will really make your experience special. In between game activities, the main lodge has lounges and decks for relaxation and taking in the views of the reserve or perhaps enjoy a massage in the privacy of your tented suite. Food is a real feature of a stay here, with gourmet delights cooked up by the chefs and served in a variety of locations, including the always popular bush dinners.
Wonderfully luxurious and fantastically private, Selinda offers one of the best game viewing experiences in Botswana. With access to a private 130,000 hectare reserve you are assured exclusivity when on safari, one of the most luxurious camps in Botswana and fantastic food, making Selinda one not to miss.
Befitting the quality of the camp, meals at Selinda are a truly wonderful experience. Whether taken in the main dining room, the boma or out in the bush, meals are a delightful affair with gourmet food and wines to match and an interactive show kitchen. Private dining can be arranged in the wine cellar on in the privacy of your suite.
The three spacious tented suites at Selinda all reflect natural elements and evoke the feeling of Victorian exploration, but with all the modern luxuries that you could wish for. The large tents are under a thatch roof and feature carved wooden doors, large bathrooms with a freestanding bath and a shaded indoor/outdoor lounge area with a private plunge pool. In each tent you will also find Leica binoculars and Canon professional photographic equipment to use during your stay. In addition to the three tents the camp also features the two bedroom Selinda Suite which comes with dedicated staff, a private guide and game viewing vehicle.
Children aged eight and older are welcomed and the two bedroom suite is perfect for families.
