In the far north west of Namibia the Marienfluss region is extremely isolated. On the banks of the Kunene River that separates Namibia from Angola, Okahirongo River Camp is an eco-friendly lodge with stunning views over the river to the mountains beyond.
The tents are minimalist in style and are constructed from wood and canvas with private verandahs from which to take in the superb views.
The beautiful surroundings can be explored on scenic drives into the dunes and mountains and on early morning walks. Fishing and boating on the Kunene River and a visit to a traditional village of the semi-nomadic Himba people are also possible.
Get away from it all in the remote and wild surroundings of Okahirongo River Camp.
The excellent food at Okahirongo River Camp is influenced by the Italian owners' heritage.
The five luxury tents feature a spacious private deck with fantastic views of the river and the mountains beyond and have a stylish, minimalist design.
The family suite is a two bedroom, two bathroom unit with a private verandah.
Children from the age of six are accepted but note that there are no specific children's facilities or activities.
