Kanga Camp is found in the most remote part of Mana Pools National Park and offers an unspoilt and private safari experience. The area is a mixture of woodland, forest and river systems and is a wonderful area to explore on foot.
Kanga Camp is situated next to a very active waterhole that is particularly prolific during the dry season as it is the only permanent source of water in the area. The main lounge and splash pool deck overlook the waterhole as do the six tents which provide an authentic and close to nature safari experience complete with outdoor bathrooms.
A superb safari awaits you at Kanga Camp - a remote wilderness and excellent game viewing with the chance to explore on foot.
With its remote location, the camp is the perfect place to retreat to for a safari without the crowds. The bountiful wildlife and birdlife ensure an active game viewing experience whether out on foot to explore the finer details of the bushveld or in the vehicle on game drive. Combine Kanga with a camp on the river for the ultimate Mana Pools experience.
The game viewing doesn’t have to stop when you eat as the dining area has a view of the waterhole. Meals are prepared daily by the chef who ensures a tasty menu is always on offer.
The camp consists of six stylish Meru type tents. They are simple yet elegant, boasting floor-to-ceiling mesh windows to let in ample natural light and a light breeze. All tents are replete with fans, an en-suite bathroom, a flushing toilet, an outdoor shower, hot running water and a secluded veranda. Kanga has a family tent with a wraparound terrace facing the pan with private seating and dining areas. The honeymoon tent features a rolltop bath on the adjoining secluded deck, ideal for a romantic starlit bath.
Children from 7 and older are accepted but the camp is more suited to older children. There is one family tent. Note that walking safaris have a minimum age of 16.
