Camps Bay is a wonderful location for people looking for a more relaxed side of Cape Town. The retreat provides this by offering guests a peaceful location, away from the beachfront properties further down the hill. The views from the gardens are stunning and for active guests there is also tennis court available on the property.
The rooms are split between the traditional Earl Dyke's Manor and the even more traditional Deck House and Villa, demonstrating the retreat's diversity of room styles. Every room is spacious, comfortable and have all of the amenities that you could wish for, with superb service enjoyed from all of the staff on the property. There is a lounge, library and spa onsite, whilst guests are able to use the gym and private beach club, Sandy B, at the nearby Bay Hotel.
If you are looking to enjoy the benefits of the Camps Bay area, but want to avoid its busy main street, Camps Bay Retreat is for you. Nicely tucked away up the hillside, you can enjoy the quiet location, spacious rooms and charming gardens, all the while being just a couple of minutes drive from the bars and restaurants for which Camps Bay is so well known.
The retreat kitchen offers guests homely cuisine throughout the day, with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, especially seafood which features prominently on the menu. During the summer months they offer a twice weekly barbeque to give guests a real flavour of South Africa.
The room types are split between the three parts of the property and are categorised as Premier, Superior, Luxury and Suites. They are all very spacious, with all of the amenities that guets require, with their feel differing depending on which building you are in. All rooms boast Nespresso machines, minibars and satellite TV. With just 15 rooms in total there is a wonderfully relaxed feel to the property.
Families with children of all ages are welcome here.
