The views of the mountains and desert plains are truly breathtaking and expert guides are on hand to show you the animal and plant life that survives in this arid environment and San Bushman cave paintings. Visits to the famous dunes at Sossusvlei and quad bike trails are also available and a resident astronomer will guide you through the clear night skies at the lodge's observatory.
The suites are luxurious and elegant with large windows and a verandah to make the most of the enchanting views. There is even a skylight above the bed for star gazing.
Wow factor suites and scenery and the star gazing with the astronomer is fascinating.
Superb food is served on the veranda at the main lodge or out in the desert. An intimate picnic in the wilderness is not to be missed.
The lodge has just ten suites constructed from glass and stone whose soothing cream and grey colours are complemented by touches of slate, bone and wood to create a supremely luxurious space in which to relax and enjoy the stunning desert views through the huge windows and the night skies through the skylight above the bed.
If parents wish to share a room with their child, then a small number of tents can have an additional bed can be made up, if they are under the age of 16. Children aged between six to 11 partake in various activities, but there are some they cannot.
The WILDChild programme is amazing and has become one of the best children’s programmes in Africa. Each child will receive their own explorer’s bag which includes logbook, crayons, pencils and a paw print tattoo. A nice added touch is the personalised letter each of them will receive, as well as if you are under the age of 3 you’ll get a soft cuddly toy.
