With only 6 luxury tents, Linyanti Bush Camp delivers a very exclusive safari experience in a private reserve bordering Botswana's legendary Chobe National Park. Set on the fringes of the little-visited Linyanti Swamps, the camp is at the heart of a region renowned for its abundant wildlife which includes particularly large populations of elephant and buffalo as well as all the big cats and rare species such as sitatunga antelope and wild dog.Guests can enjoy year-round game drives, guided walking safaris, superb bird watching and mokoro (canoe) excursions in season - and given that the lodge lies in a private concession, guides are allowed to take their 4X4s off-road for extra-close sightings and can conduct exciting night drives for a glimpse into Botswana's natural nocturnal world.
Although very out-of-the-way, this traditional tented camp can easily be reached by light aircraft. It is set against the western boundary of Chobe and lies in a marshland – a great environment for viewing elephant and buffalo. It combines well with stays in both the Chobe National Park & Okavango Delta and is one of Botswana’s better value camps.
Linyanti Bush Camp is designed to elevate the guest's safari experience: the main lodge is a raised, open-sided canvas tent comprising a library, bar and lounge with comfortable sofas and boasts a small plunge pool to cool off in the hot summer months. The wooden deck, also raised off the ground, leads from the central public area and offers a perfect vantage point to witness the ever-changing view of the Linyanti floodplains with its constant movement of wildlife. There are well-situated hides for bird watching and mobile camping is also offered, giving you a true taste of the Chobe wilderness.
Freshly prepared and hearty meals are served in the main dining area or around a camp fire to the accompaniment of game rangers' stories. The menu includes daily baked breads served with generous meat and vegetable dishes, topped off by traditional desserts such as sticky toffee pudding.
Ideal for honeymooners or wildlife lovers who want a measure of privacy, Linyanti Bush Camp has only 6 spacious, designer safari tents. Each en suite tent, looking out over the Linyanti landscape from the seclusion of its private deck, features stylish furniture and generous cupboard space in its bedroom and living area while the bathroom has hot running water and flush toilets.
